Description :-
The Dynamic Cubes and Squares set consists of two main components:
1. Cubes: A box containing 9 wooden cubes, each representing 1000 units. These cubes are painted yellow and feature bead patterns to visually represent the value of 1000 in the
Montessori colour code.
2. Squares: A box containing 45 wooden squares, each representing 100 units. These squares are also color-coded following the Montessori system to represent hundreds and help the child visualize larger quantities.
These cubes and squares are used in conjunction with the Large Number Cards 1-9000, Small Number Cards 1-3000, and Golden Beads for dynamic sets to give children a tactile way of exploring
the decimal system and learning how to manipulate large numbers.
Dynamic Cubes and Squares
- Understand Place Value: The Dynamic Cubes and Squares help children visualize the relationship between units, tens, hundreds, and thousands. By manipulating these materials, children gain a concrete understanding of how numbers are built and how place value works.
- Introduce Arithmetic Operations: The cubes and squares are used in a variety of lessons to demonstrate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in a manner that is both hands-on and visual.
- Develop Number Sense: As children work with these materials, they will deepen their understanding of the relationships between numbers and how operations like addition and multiplication interact with each other.
- Prepare for Advanced Mathematics: By mastering the concepts of place value and large numbers, children are prepared for more complex arithmetic and mathematical concepts in the future.
